Johann Georg Orschler
Johann Georg Orschler (* around 1698 in Breslau ; † between 1767 and 1770) was a Silesian composer and violinist.
Live and act
Johann Georg Orschler received his first music lessons from Michael Kirsten (1682–1742), the organist of the Magdalenenkirche in Breslau. He found his first job as a page with the music-loving Count Zierotin in Falkenberg (Silesia). This financed him further musical studies, so he received violin lessons from Johann Otto Rosetter (1690–1752) and Johann Joseph Fux taught him composition. Orschler lived in Prague around 1726 and from 1730 he was a violinist for the archdeacon, Count von Thurn and Valsassina in Olomouc . From 1736 to around 1750 he was Kapellmeister to the Prince of Liechtenstein. Most recently he was a member of the Vienna Court Music Band.
