Johann Georg Schmilinsky

Johann Georg Schmilinsky (born December 25, 1789 in Hamburg , † October 12, 1870 in Wandsbeck ) was a German businessman .

Life

Schmilinsky was a businessman in the Hamburg hardware store Wuppermann & Schmilinsky , which was located on Rödingsmarkt . His son August Hermann was a co-owner from the beginning of 1856 to mid-1861. After Schmilinsky's departure from the company at the end of 1861, the company was taken over by Amandus Wilhelm Niemeyer.

Schmilinsky was involved in the St. Nikolaikirche . There he was adjunct from 1829 to 1835 , from 1836 to 1851 in the hundred eighties and from 1851 to 1864 in sixties . He acted 1847 Jurat and inspector of the church school and 1855 as treasury manager and a member of the College Arms.

In 1859 and 1860 he was a member of the Hamburg Parliament. At his own request, Schmilinsky was dismissed from the citizenry in the 17th session in 1860.
