Johann Glaser (politician)

Johann Glaser (born September 26, 1883 in Klostermarienberg ; † June 9, 1959 in Vienna ) was an Austrian farmer in Klostermarienberg and a politician ( SPÖ ). Glaser was married and from 1930 to 1934 and from 1946 to 1951 a member of the Burgenland Landtag .

Life

Glaser was the son of the farmer Peter Glaser from Klostermarienberg and attended elementary school. He then worked as a bricklayer and farmer and returned to Klostermarienberg after spending eleven years in America. From 1927 to 1934 he was councilor of the Burgenland Chamber of Agriculture and represented the SPÖ from December 5, 1930 to February 12, 1934 in the Burgenland state parliament. From March 17, 1946, Glaser was chairman of the regional organization of the Austrian Workers' Federation in Burgenland and from November 4, 1946, he again represented the SPÖ in the Burgenland state parliament. He belonged during the V. and VI. Legislative period to the state parliament and left the state parliament on December 12, 1951 after a mandate waiver.

He was buried in Klostermarienberg.
