Johann Gregorich

Johann Gregorich (born February 8, 1920 in Frankenau , † September 5, 1965 in Oberpullendorf ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer. Gregorich was a member of the Burgenland Landtag from 1960 to 1965 .

Life

Gregorich was the son of the farmer Johann Gregorich from Frankenau and attended grammar school in Hollabrunn and Eisenstadt after primary school in Frankenau . After he broke off his training in 1936, he worked as a farmer, where he had to serve in the Wehrmacht between 1940 and 1945 . Gregorich, who grew up in Burgenland-Croatian as his mother tongue , was married and a member of the Croatian Cultural Association. From 1958 he was also active as a councilor of the Burgenland Chamber of Agriculture and was a councilor in Frankenau. From 1961 he also held the position of regional representative of the Austrian Farmers' Union and represented the ÖVP between May 5, 1960 and September 5, 1965 in the Burgenland state parliament. Gregorich died in his office as a member of the state parliament and was buried in Frankenau.
