Johann Heinrich Meußel (born December 19, 1645 in Pyrbaum or Wendelstein , † January 15, 1727 in Nuremberg ) was a German writer.

Johann Heinrich Meußel was a son of the caretaker administrator Johann Meußel. He studied law in Altdorf , but had to break off his studies due to financial difficulties of his parents and thereupon became a private tutor. In 1678 he inherited so much from an aunt that he was able to settle in Nuremberg without an office. Here he wrote many Latin and German poems, especially sacred songs.
