Life

Johann Heinrich Schäfer came from a family of organ builders in Göppingen , where his grandfather Johann Georg Schäfer (1760–1826) and his father Johann Georg Schäfer (1785–1845) worked. His son Karl Schäfer (1838–1922) continued the family tradition as an organ builder.
