Johann Hermann Müller-Tschirnhaus (born December 18, 1867 in Opole , † August 18, 1957 in Einbeck ) was a German pastor and theological writer .

Life

Müller-Tschirnhaus was born as Johann Hermann Müller in Opole, where his father was the rector of the town's boys' school. He passed his Abitur in February 1886 at the Opole grammar school and then began studying Protestant theology at the University of Breslau . In the same year he became a member of the Corps Silesia Breslau . He spent the fourth and fifth semesters at the University of Halle and then passed his state examination in Breslau. He then became parish vicar in Falkenberg O / S and after the second state examination on May 1, 1894, deputy in the third parish position at the Church of St. Salvator in Wroclaw. He stayed at St. Salvator, from 1910 as pastor primary surgeon, until he retired in 1936. He was also a councilor of the town council in the town consistory. He was honorary chairman of the Association against Poverty and Begging , Vice Chairman of the Breslau Humboldt Academy for Popular Education , Chairman of the Silesian Association of Evangelical Workers' Associations, as well as a member of the Presidium of the Evangelical Federation in Silesia and a member of the Historical Commission of the KSCV . On January 22, 1945, Müller-Tschirnhaus fled Breslau to Einbeck, where his daughter Ruth and son-in-law Egon Pralle lived.
