Graf . John IV of Oldenburg (documented testified 1331 - 1356 ) was Count of Oldenburg . He was the eldest son of Count Johann III. from his marriage to an otherwise unknown woman named Mechthild.

Life

From 1345 Johann IV. Together with his uncle Konrad I. , also in documents from the beginning of the year 1345, which refer to the granting of the city charter of Bremen to the city of Oldenburg. After the death of his uncle in 1347, he and his cousin Konrad II appeared as a certificate issuer. Nothing is known about a possible marriage and children; the dynastic succession was secured by his cousin's descendants.
