Johann Jakob Schlösser (* 1742 in Elberfeld (now part of Wuppertal ); † 13 August 1788 there ) was mayor of Elberfeld.

Schlösser was the son of the businessman Jakob Schlösser (1701-1770), who was proposed several times for mayor but was never elected. His wife Maria Gertrud Jörgens (1705-1746) was born and baptized on March 30, 1742 in Elberfeld. On October 30, 1766, he married Anna Maria von Carnap (1739–1768), daughter of the mayor from 1751, Kaspar von Carnap , with whom he had two children. After his wife died four days after the birth of their second child, Schlösser married a second time on September 29, 1769, this time the widow of his cousin, Charlotta Schlösser (1708–1782), the daughter of the mayor from 1768, i.e. his uncle Isaac Schlösser , with whom he had two more children.

Like his father, Schlösser was a businessman in Elberfeld. He was proposed for the first and only time as mayor in 1773 and was also elected to this office. A year later he was the city judge and in 1774 he was a member of the Elberfeld City Council for one year.
