Johann Jakob Sprüngli

Johann Jakob Sprüngli (born November 4, 1801 in Zurich ; died February 6, 1889 there ) was a Swiss pastor and song composer. The so-called "singer pastor" was pastor in Schlieren and Thalwil . Sprüngli was president of the singing club on Lake Zurich . He was a lifelong advocate for the Limmattal Choral Society and the Singing Society on Lake Zurich .
