Johann Kobor

Johann Kobor (born August 2, 1882 as Johann Liebentritt in Oberrabnitz , † May 14, 1958 in Frauenkirchen ) was an Austrian innkeeper, cinema owner and politician. Kober was married and from 1934 to 1938 a member of the Burgenland Landtag .

Johann Kobor was born as the son of the housewife Katharina Liebentritt from Oberrabnitz. He attended elementary school, worked as a waiter and after his marriage became an innkeeper. In 1912 he had his family name changed to "Kobor". He took the name of his wife Paula Kobor. Kobor ran an inn and a cinema in Frauenkirchen and was appointed commercial councilor in 1952 .

Kobor was mayor of Frauenkirchen between 1923 and 1927, between 1929 and 1931 and between 1954 and 1958. Furthermore, from 1932 he was a member of the party court of the Christian Social Party in Burgenland and from 1937 chamber councilor of the Burgenland Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Between November 11, 1934 and March 12, 1938, Kobor was the representative of the “trade” in the Burgenland state parliament during the Austro-fascist period .
