Johann Konrad Hallwax

Johann Konrad Hallwachs (born August 28, 1718 in Göppingen , † October 28, 1789 in Gießen ) was a German bailiff .

Hallwachs was the son of the Duke of Württemberg monastery administrator of the canons of Oberhofen-Göppingen Johann Konrad Hallwachs (1694-1733) and his second wife Maria Sophia nee Steckh (1702-1778).

Hallwachs, who was a Protestant denomination, married Juliana Johannetta Philippina Hensing (born March 26, 1723 in Gießen; † February 1, 1777 in Alsfeld), daughter of the professor of chemistry at the University of Gießen, on January 9, 1744 in Gießen Johann Thomas Hensing (1683-1726).

In January 1780 he married Sophie Katharina Ständer (born June 11, 1728, † May 26, 1785 in Alsfeld) in Allendorf an der Lumda, the daughter of the Royal Swedish and Princely Hesse-Kassel captain Johann Andreas Ständer.

In his third marriage on June 4, 1786 in Alsfeld, he married the widow Maria Barbara Luise Bauer, the daughter of the princely mining inspector at the Breidenbach mine in Upper Hesse, Johannes Bauer.

The marriages resulted in the following children, among others:

  • Jakob Ludwig Konrad Hallwachs (1744–1829), 1771–1807 bailiff in Kürnberg, councilor, councilor
  • Juliane Charlotte Sophie Minnigerode, b. Hallwachs (1747–1828), married to the municipal syndic in Alsfeld Johann Henrich Benjamin Minnigerode († 1789)
  • Luise Karoline Sophie Friederike Vollhardt, b. Hallwachs (1749-1818), married to the pharmacist and economist of the University of Gießen in Alsfeld Ferdinand Christian Vollhardt (1741-1804)
  • Johann Karl Georg Hallwachs (1751–1797), reservation official of Cent Lauterbach and zu Angenrod, government advocate, councilor, 1781 court advisor in Darmstadt, 1791 bailiff in Alsfeld
  • Anna Wilhelmina Johannette Helmolt, b. Hallwachs (1759–1834), married to the bailiff in Groß-Karben Franz Ludwig Helmolt (1755–1823)
  • Henriette Katharine Magdalena Elisabeth Becker, b. Hallwachs (1763–1785), married to the Freiherr von Dörnbergische Amtsschultheiß on the Herzberg Johann Ernst Christoph Becker (1751–1828)

Life

Hallwachs studied in Giessen from August 1, 1740 and was awarded a Dr. jur. PhD. From around 1748 he was the Hesse-Darmstadt bailiff of Kürnbach, from around 1756 bailiff in Vöhl and from around 1760/1765 bailiff in the Alsfeld district . He was awarded the title of government councilor.
