Johann Ludtring

Johann Ludtring (* before August 9, 1628 (baptism); † July 31, 1688 in Nuremberg ) was a blacksmith, mechanic and instrument maker.

Ludtring made a Copernican planetarium in 1680 according to the instructions of Georg Christoph Eimmart , which can be viewed today in the exhibition of the Germanic National Museum at Nuremberg Castle . The Eimmart observatory, for which Johann Ludtring made instruments, was also located in the Vestnertorbastei of Nuremberg Castle. a. a Trent . In 2008 a street near the Wöhrder See in Nuremberg was named after him.
