Johann Nepomuk Hautle

Johann Nepomuk Hautle (born September 29, 1792 in Appenzell ; † March 8, 1860 there ) was a Swiss politician . From 1848 to 1857 he was a member of the National Council.

The son of the doctor and politician of the same name worked as a farmer . In 1815, Hautle was stationed as a lieutenant in the federal contingent in Basel . In 1827, the Landsgemeinde elected him to the professional ethics committee, the Innerrhoder cantonal government, in which he was responsible for the judiciary, police and military as a national ensign. A year later the Landsgemeinde deposed all members of the government with aristocratic convictions. Only Hautle was confirmed and took over the office of governor until 1840. In the years 1835 and 1839 he represented his canton as a delegate to the daily statutes . In October 1848, Hautle ran for the first elections to the National Council and was elected to the first Innerrhoder National Council. He joined the Catholic conservative group, in 1857 he resigned.
