Johann Nikolaus Anton Kirchhoff

Johann Nikolaus Anton Kirchhoff (* 1791 ; † 1873 ) was a German author , Reichsrat and Mayor of Kiel .

Life

Kirchhoff was probably born in Hanerau , but there is evidence that he lived in Uetersen , where his two sons Friedrich (1822–1894) and Theodor (1828–1899) were born. He was a lawyer and long-time member of the Holstein assembly of estates . As a state deputy, he represented the cities of Krempe , Elmshorn , Uetersen and Wilster . Kirchhoff was also the state representative of the Pinneberg rule , was later appointed to the Danish Imperial Council and was given the title of Budget and Conference Council because of his services.

Kirchhoff was the long-time mayor of Kiel until 1862 and wrote small treatises in the Schleswig-Holstein advertisements. He was probably also the author of the little pamphlet: "Assembly of the Central Committee for the Construction of a New University Building in Kiel" A toast he made to Luther at the celebration of a Schiller Festival on November 10, 1859 in Kiel was also printed.
