Johann Pölzer junior
Johann Pölzer (born August 5, 1903 in Vienna , † September 27, 1964 in Sittendorf, Wienerwald municipality ) was an Austrian trade unionist and politician ( SPÖ ).
Life
Johann Pölzer junior was the son of the national councilor and Viennese councilor Johann Pölzer senior as well as the favorite local councilor Amalie Pölzer . He was chairman of the union of municipal employees from 1951 to 1963. Between 1949 and 1953 he was a Viennese councilor , then from 1953 to 1963 a member of the National Council .
Pölzer was buried at the Vienna Central Cemetery . In 1968 Johann-Pölzer-Gasse in Vienna-Favoriten was named after him. In addition, a student dormitory in Brigittenau (Burghardtgasse 23) bears his name.
