Johann Philipp Rosenbach

Johann Philipp Rosenbach (born June 2, 1606 in Gießen ; † August 19, 1669 ) was pastor in Grone .

On May 11, 1626 he was matriculated at the University of Marburg to study theology . He was then entrusted with a job as an educator in the house of Count Hardenberg in Göttingen . On March 20, 1628 - in the middle of the Thirty Years' War - he became pastor in Grone near Göttingen.

On July 4th, 1632 he was captured by the riders of the general Pappenheim and Eichsfeld farmers, but released again shortly afterwards.

Johann Philipp Rosenbach married Catharina Sander on September 30, 1629. The wedding took place in the St. Jacobi Church in Göttingen .
