Johann Reinhard von Metternich
Johann Reinhard von Metternich (* unknown; † December 30, 1637 ) was imperial and Kurmainzer Privy Councilor and canon in various dioceses.
Life
Johann Reinhard von Metternich came from the Rhenish noble family von Metternich and was the son of Johann Dietrich von Metternich zu Vettelkofen and his wife Anna von Dehren. At a young age Johann Reinhard was active as a cathedral singer in Mainz and after studying in Padua he became canon in Trier in 1589. On August 2, 1608, he took possession of the Münster cathedral priest of Elector Lothar von Trier and was transferred to the Metternich, Leyen families , Dern and Nassau sworn up . Johann Reinhard was in Bamberg , Würzburg and Magdeburg präbendiert . He had also graduated from Paris. On January 2, 1625 he was appointed electoral court president. He was Vicar General of the Bishop of Halberstadt .

In 1619 he was elected to the imperial council.

In the parish church of St. Stephanus in Gönnersdorf, Ahrweiler district , a memorial altar was erected in 1630 by the brothers Johann Reinhard and Wilhelm von Metternich.
