Life

In 1699 he applied for the vacant cantor's office in Freiberg and after an examination was finally appointed Freiberg cantor and music director on August 28, 1699 from among 12 applicants . In this activity he tested the small organ there, which was built by Gottfried Silbermann for the Freiberg Hospital Church (Johanniskirche) between 1718 and 1719 .
