Johann Schmirl
Johann Schmirl (born January 3, 1882 in Gründberg near Sierning , Upper Austria , † March 23, 1923 in Linz ) was an Upper Austrian worker, trade union official and socialist politician.
Life
Johann Schmirl was born in Gründberg near Sierning and trained as a lathe operator . He was a co-founder of the railway workers' union in Landeck and moved to Linz in 1910. From 1920 to 1922 he was secretary of the railway workers' union for the Social Democratic Party, Upper Austria regional group.
