Johann Schwegler

Johann Schwegler (* 1820 ; † 1903 ) was a coffee maker , local politician in Vienna and a member of the Austrian cooperative system .

Functions in politics and cooperatives

From 1872 to 1879 he was mayor of the formerly independent Viennese community of Rudolfsheim in the western part of what is now the Viennese district of Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus .

In the period from 1872 to 1874, on the occasion of the founding meeting on June 23, 1872, he was elected first chairman of the select committee of the general association of self-help Austrian trade and business cooperatives due to his function as director of the Rudolfsheimer advance payment and savings association and was from 1874 until 1876 chairman of the general committee of the general association of self-help based commercial and economic cooperatives in Austria (since 1930 Austrian cooperative association ).
