Johann Sebastian Koch

Johann Sebastian Koch (born June 16, 1689 in Ammern (Unstruttal) , † January 17, 1757 in Schleiz ) was a German singer .

Life

From 1708 to 1710, Koch was one of Johann Sebastian Bach's first students in Mühlhausen . In April 1711 he enrolled at the University of Jena . In the following year he moved to the court orchestra in Schleiz as a singer and cantor . In 1727 he was appointed court conductor there.
