Johann Sponagel

Johann Georg Sponagel (born January 23, 1824 in Westhofen ; † March 15, 1899 ibid) was a Hessian landowner and politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Johann Sponagel was the son of Johann Georg Sponagel and his wife Maria Elisabeth, née Becker. Sponagel, who was Protestant, was a landowner in Westhofen and married Karoline Friederike née Brubacher.

In 1850 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Rheinhessen 9 / Westhofen . He was an alderman in Westhofen.
