Johann Stanislaus Schaffroth (born October 25, 1766 in Baden-Baden , † September 20, 1851 there ) was a German painter.

Johannes Stanislaus Schaffroth was a student of Jakob Becker and Karl Kaspar Pitz . He also studied painting in Stuttgart and Dresden. From 1795 to 1846 he worked as an art teacher at the arts and crafts school in Baden-Baden.

He provided pictures for royal residences and abbeys. On the fringes of his activity, Schaffroth dealt with bizarre tree studies and sketched crumbling ruins. Schaffroth created altarpieces for the churches in Achern and Oppenheim .

In 1804 Schaffroth painted a portrait of Margrave Karl Friedrich von Baden (1728–1811). In 1805 he was appointed court painter by him.

A special exhibition by Johann Stanislaus Schaffroth, a Baden-Baden painter 1766-1851 from June 11, 1976 to September 30, 1976, was dedicated to the works of Schaffroth in the Baden-Baden City History Collections.
