Johann Trygophorus
Johann Trygophorus (* 1580 ; † August 31, 1626 in Greifswald ) was a German historian and philologist .
Johann Trygophorus came from Kassel to Greifswald and became professor of philology and rhetoric here in 1610 .
Trygophorus married Sibylle Völschow (1584–1655), a daughter of Greifswald's mayor Joachim Völschow (1550–1597) and his wife Sibylla von Mevius (1562–1630) in 1610. Sibylla von Mevius was a daughter of the Greifswald law professor Thomas Mevius .
