Johann Zwanzger

Johann Zwanzger (born March 2, 1864 in Piberegg , Styria , Austrian Empire , † October 13, 1939 in Leoben ) was an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Workers' Party of Austria .

education and profession

Johann Zwanzger worked as chairman and central secretary of the Association of Miners . In this role he was editor of the journal Der Bergarbeiter .

Political offices

Zwanzger was initially a member of the Constituent National Assembly before it in 1920 for the Social Democratic Party of Austria in the National Council ( I. , II. And III. Legislative period ) moved in. He was a member of this for ten years before he was not re-elected in the 1930 National Council election.

Zwanzger was a member of the council of his adopted home Donawitz for many years , where he also served as first vice mayor. After Donawitz was incorporated into Leoben in 1938, he became vice mayor there. He held this office until his death.
