John of England

John of England ( English John ) (born June 10 or July 1266 ; † August 1, 1271 ) was an English prince from the House of Plantagenet . He was the eldest son of the heir to the throne Eduard and his wife Eleanor of Castile . His parents went on a crusade to the Holy Land in 1270 . Little Johann was placed in the care of his great-uncle Richard of Cornwall . He died before his parents returned to England. The death of the pretty child was deeply mourned at the royal court. Johann was buried in the grave of his aunt Katharina, who died as a child, in Westminster Abbey , where several other royal children who died as children were buried.
