Life
Johann von Lasser came from the Tyrolean knight family Lasser von Zollheim and was a cousin of the Minister Josef Lasser von Zollheim . He joined the Cistercian Abbey of Stams in 1842 and, after being ordained a priest in 1846, was pastor, subprior and pastoral lecturer at the theological home school of the monastery.
