Johanna Presler (writer)

Johanna Presler (also: Johanna Presler-Flohr , nee Johanna Karoline Flohr ; born February 18, 1862 in Gleidingen near Hanover ; died April 10, 1925 in Hanover) was a German writer .

Life

In 1898 Otto Presler bought the apartment building at Lindenerstraße 47 , later Königsworther Straße 47 , today house number 5, for his family

Johanna Presler's father was the Gleidingen farm owner Christoph Flohr.

As Johanna Flohr, the later writer initially worked as a teacher until 1882. Having just come of age, she married the “school professor” Otto Presler in 1886 .

After the First World War at the latest , “Frau Professor Johanna Presler-Flohr” became involved as a delegate of the 350-member organization Frauenverein Volkswohl for the fight against alcoholism , chaired by “Pastor Marie Eichhorn”.

The Hanover address book recorded the year she died . City and business handbook 1925 the teacher Otto Presler as head of the household in the house at Königsworther Straße 47 in the Calenberger Neustadt .
