Johanna Richter , b. Laule (born March 17, 1871 in Neckargemünd , † November 4, 1943 in Konstanz ) was a German politician ( DNVP ) and was a member of the Baden state parliament from 1921 to 1933 .

Life

After elementary school and secondary school in Achern , Johanna Richter attended the Luisenschule and the women's work school in Karlsruhe . She then trained as a handicraft teacher in Karlsruhe. She spent three years in France for language training and one year in England. In 1906 she married the chief paymaster August Richter, who died in 1916.

politics

Johanna Richter was the only woman from southwest Germany who was a member of the DNVP . The party program was authoritarian-monarchical, industrial and large-scale agriculture. The political influence came mainly from heavy industry and large estates. From 1921 Johanna Richter was a member of the Heidelberg Citizens' Committee. In her party, she was chairman of the regional women's committee. From 1921 to 1933 she was a member of the Baden state parliament; from 1922 to 1924 she was secretary in the state parliament, from 1929 to 1933 secretary of the DNVP group. She was mainly involved in the social and economic area.

Johanna Richter ran for the Reichstag several times without success : five times for the DNVP, once for the black-white-red battle front .

She was a member of the German Officers' Union , the housewives' association and the agricultural housewives' association .
