Johanne Petrussen

Johanne Petrussen (born July 7, 1950 ) is a Greenlandic politician ( Inuit Ataqatigiit ) and journalist .

Life

In 1983 Johanne Petrussen was one of the first women to graduate from the Nuuk journalism school. She then worked as a radio journalist for a year and a half before she was employed by the Greenland information service Tusarliivik . She then worked as a freelancer for four years. She then worked in the Paarisa Pension Fund . In 1993 she became the head of Kalaallit Nunaata Radioa , which she remained until 1995.

She ran in the parliamentary elections in Greenland in 1987 , where she missed a parliamentary seat. In March 1988 she was appointed Minister for Trade, Transport and Youth in place of Josef Motzfeldt . After only a few months, the coalition broke up and the Inuit Ataqatigiit lost her place in the government and with it Johanne Petrussen her ministerial post.
