Johannes (Gardar)
John was Bishop of Orkney , then Titular Bishop of Gardar . He worked as auxiliary bishop in the diocese of Cammin .
Johannes was pastor in Penclarie in the Orkney diocese . He was providential in 1384 with the diocese of Orkney and in 1389 by Pope Boniface IX. appointed Bishop of Orkney. In 1394 he was instead titular bishop of Gardar in Greenland .
Bishop Johannes worked as auxiliary bishop in the diocese of Cammin : in 1389 he granted a privilege to indulge the small Marienkapelle in the choir of the Kolberger Kollegiatkirche . In 1395 he granted an indulgence privilege for the parish church in Güstrow . In 1397, as vicarius in the pontificalibus of the Camminer diocesan bishop Johann von Oppeln , he granted an indulgence privilege for the parish church in Malchin that had burned down . In 1407 he consecrated the choir and high altar of the parish church in Königsberg Nm. ; here he appeared as vicar general of the Camminer diocesan bishop Nikolaus von Schippenbeil .
