Johannes Brenner (football player)

Johannes Brenner (born October 20,  1982 ) is a former German football player .

career

Brenner began playing football in 1998 in Schwäbisch Hall . During parts of 2000 and 2001 he was an exchange student in the US state of Michigan , from the 2001 season he played with the men of the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns . There his brothers Felix (from 2007) and Simon (from 2004) were also among his teammates for a time. In 2011 and 2012 he became German champions with the Hallern team, and the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes were defeated in both finals . The wide receiver ended his playing career in June 2014.

With the German national team, he won the European championship in 2010 and 2014.

Trainer

After the end of his playing days, in which he had already worked as a youth coach, he was responsible for the wide receivers of the GFL team in Schwäbisch Hall as a member of the coaching staff from 2014 . In the meantime, Brenner made stays at university teams in the United States : in 2015 he was a member of the coaching staff at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and in 2016 at the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse. In 2017 he took over the position of defense coordinator in Schwäbisch Hall and in this role contributed to winning the German championships in 2017 and 2018.
