Johannes Hermann Sieveking

Johannes Hermann Sieveking (born January 26, 1827 in Hamburg ; † June 21, 1884 ibid) was a German lawyer , diplomat and Hamburg Senate Secretary.

Life

Sieveking was the son of Hamburg lawyer Karl Sieveking . He received his doctorate in Jena in 1851 . On July 4, 1851, he was in Hamburg as a lawyer admitted. In 1852 he was appointed Senate Secretary of the Hamburg Senate and served as such until 1880.

On July 31, 1855 Sieveking married Henriette Maria Elisabeth Merck (born February 1, 1835 in Hamburg; † October 2, 1907 there), daughter of the businessman Heinrich Johann Merck . Karl Sieveking (1863–1932), Georg Herman Sieveking (1867–1954) and Heinrich Sieveking (1871–1945) were his sons, Kurt Sieveking and Adolf Johanssen his grandsons.
