Adolf Johanssen

Adolf Hermann Harald Johanssen (born May 27, 1863 at Gut Sophienhof ( Schellhorn ), Plön district ; † May 5, 1936 in Meran ) was a German lawyer , administrative officer and politician ( DVP ).

Life

Johanssen was born the son of a landowner. After attending school, he began to study law, which he completed in 1886 with the first state examination in law. He then completed the clerkship of dishes, was since 1888 as a government clerk in the government in Schleswig worked and became a doctor of law doctorate . In 1891 he passed the second state examination in law. His activities in the Prussian administrative service led him first to the income tax assessment commission in the city of Kiel and from there in 1895 to the government in Bromberg .

From 1897 Johanssen was district administrator of the district of Süderdithmarschen . In 1910 he became deputy as Senior Government District President of Gumbinnen . In 1915 he returned to the province of Schleswig-Holstein as senior councilor to the senior council . From April 1920 until his retirement in April 1928, he served as the district president of the administrative district of Schleswig .

As district administrator and also as district president he was responsible for the island of Helgoland and was active here and later in the state parliament together with the Helgoland district administrator Gustav Etzel against the separate movements on the island.

In May 1928 Johanssen was elected for the German People's Party (DVP) as a member of the Prussian state parliament, of which he was a member until 1932. In parliament he represented constituency 13 (Schleswig-Holstein).
