Georg Herman Sieveking
Georg Herman Sieveking (born June 21, 1867 in Hamburg ; † February 6, 1954 there ) was a German doctor and politician .
Life
Sieveking successfully attended the Matthias-Claudius-Gymnasium . From 1887 to 1888 he was a one-year volunteer in the Grand Ducal Mecklenburg Grenadier Regiment No. 89 in Schwerin.
After studying medicine in Freiburg, Munich and Strasbourg, Sieveking received his doctorate in 1891. In 1892 he got a position as an assistant doctor in Strasbourg, in 1893 he moved to the Eppendorf General Hospital and in 1895 he established himself as a general practitioner in Hamburg. In 1901 he was appointed city doctor and physician. He was on the board of the Patriotic Society from 1765 and was also active as a writer; among other things he wrote a three-volume history of the Sieveking and Chapeaurouge families .
From 1915 to 1927 Sieveking belonged to the Hamburg citizenship as a member of the "Fraction of the Right", from 1919 as a member of the German People's Party .
The mayor of Hamburg, Kurt Sieveking, was his son, Johannes Hermann Sieveking was his father and Karl Sieveking was his grandfather.
