John II (Jerusalem)
John II (around 356 - 10 January 417 ) was the Christian bishop of Jerusalem .
John was first a monk and in 387 succeeded Bishop Cyril . He was acquainted with Rufinus of Aquileia and Hieronymus and led a dispute with the latter over the leadership of the Jerusalem community. John had Hagia Sion built in 415 . He was bishop of Jerusalem until his death.
