Johannes Jacobskötter

Johannes Karl Wilhelm Jacobskötter (born July 27, 1839 in Erfurt ; † January 24, 1911 there ) was a master tailor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Jacobskötter attended the Lutheran parish school and learned the tailoring trade from 1853 to 1856. He worked as a journeyman until 1866 and served in the 10th and 50th Infantry Regiments from November 1, 1861 to the end of 1864. From January 1866 he was self-employed and had a tailor's business with 20 people and 12 machines , which he managed until 1902.

From January 1, 1883 he was a city councilor, from January 1, 1885 chairman of the board of directors of the Erfurt advance bank, and from 1886 head master of the tailors' guild. Politically, he contributed to the fact that anti-Semitic positions were included in the program of the German Conservative Party in 1892 .

From 1893 to 1903 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency district of Erfurt 4 ( Erfurt - Schleusingen - Ziegenrück ) and the German Conservative Party . Between 1904 and 1908 he was also a member of the Prussian House of Representatives .
