Johannes Koppen
Johannes Koppen (born March 11, 1656 in Hersfeld , † April 4, 1718 in Kassel ) was mayor of Kassel.
Life
Koppen was the son of the Hersfeld bailiff Philipp Koppen and his wife Anna Gertrud Murhard. Koppen married Maria Elisabeth Grusemann († 1725) in Kassel on September 11, 1684, the daughter of Dr. Johann Grusemann. Their daughter Catherine Elisabeth († 1747, 43 years old) married Nikolaus Wilhelm Ihring (1699–1757), the son of Dietrich Christoph Ihring . Their son was Dietrich Christoph Ihringk .
He attended high school in Hersfeld from 1664 and studied law in Marburg from 1673. In 1681 he finished his studies with a licentiate. He lived as a lawyer in Kassel and was mayor there from 1700 and again from 1713 to 1715.
