Johannes Michels (born November 15, 1938 in Laubach - Leienkaul / Eifel ) is a German deaf and hard of hearing educator , headmaster, professor in Osnabrück and author .

Live and act

Michels completed an apprenticeship as a wholesale merchant after leaving school . After completing military service , he worked in a public administration. Here he was also elected Chairman of the Staff Council. He graduated from high school in Mainz in 1964. This was followed by a teaching degree with the subjects of pedagogy and psychology in Koblenz with the first teaching degree in 1968. He then worked as a teacher. Further studies in Cologne, Bonn and Heidelberg followed in the areas of pedagogy / didactics , pedoaudiology , psychology, linguistics , phonetics and medical aspects . Another state examination followed in Heidelberg in 1971. Then he worked as a teacher in Trier . In 1974 he passed the 2nd state examination. In 1975 he was appointed deputy director.

He studied part-time in Trier and Cologne and received his doctorate in Cologne in 1978 . In 1979 he was appointed director (senior director of studies) of what would later become the state education center for the hearing impaired in Osnabrück . Michels focused in particular on the development and expansion of the school for the hard of hearing (in addition to the school for the deaf) as well as the establishment and design of the advanced training course and many modern professional fields in vocational training for the deaf and hard of hearing. This also included the development of framework guidelines for schools for the deaf and hard of hearing . After all, he was also a co-founder of the Osnabrück Disability Forum.

University professor

In 1981 he became a lecturer for disabled education at the University of Osnabrück , where he was also appointed professor for the same subject in 1990. He was appointed professor at the University of Valencia ( Spain ) in 1993 for the Logopedia department in the Faculty of Psychology. In 1996 he became a professor at the college and later University of Zielona Góra ( Poland ). There he taught the fields of linguistics , idioms , “phraseolexemics” and phonetics in German studies .

After teaching, he devoted himself to writing books with a spiritual focus. He publishes in the fields of near-death experiences and God's spiritual protective work .
