Johannes Mischo

Johannes Mischo (born August 8, 1930 in Haustadt ; † August 16, 2001 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a parapsychologist at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg .

After graduating in psychology in Heidelberg in 1960, Mischo became Hans Bender's assistant at the Institute for Frontier Areas of Psychology and Mental Hygiene . V. in Freiburg im Breisgau. His habilitation in 1973 was the first in Germany on a parapsychological topic. In 1974 he became professor and after Bender's death in 1991 his successor as director of the institute mentioned. He stayed that way after his retirement at the University of Freiburg in 1998 until his death. His successor there is Dieter Vaitl . The chair for psychology and border areas of psychology has meanwhile been rededicated to educational psychology .
