Johannes Suessmann
Johannes Süssmann (born June 21, 1964 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German historian .
Life
From 1985 to 1992 he studied history and German in Munich , Frankfurt am Main and Paris (1992 state examination ). From 1997 to 1998 he was a research assistant at the history seminar of the Goethe University, responsible for the conception and the establishment application of the SFB / FK 435 knowledge culture and social change . After completing his doctorate in 1998, he was a research assistant at the professorship for modern general history with special consideration of the early modern period ( Luise Schorn-Schütte ) at the Goethe University from 1999 to 2005 (2003-2004 project leader at the SFB / FK 435 Knowledge Culture and Social Change responsible for the overall application for the second extension of the SFB / FK). After completing his habilitation in 2005, he represented chairs at the universities of Heidelberg and Paderborn from 2007 to 2009 . From 2005 to 2009 he was Professor a. Currently at the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. Since 2009 he has been a professor for early modern history at the University of Paderborn .
