Johannes Schader

Johannes Schader (baptized January 2, 1589 in Weißenfels ; † March 13, 1633 in Sachsenburg ) was the Electoral Saxon administrator of the Sachsenburg castle and office. The spelling of the family name is also Schatter.

Schader was born in Weißenfels as the son of Christoph Schader, Magister Philosophiae and City Syndic of Weißenfels and Elisabeth Hillard. The paternal grandfather, Hans Schader, died as a councilor in Weißenfels in 1581. The maternal grandfather, Andreas Hillard, was the mayor of Pegau. Johannes Schader married Anna Römer, daughter of Johann Römer, Herr auf Greitschütz near Elstertrebnitz. Both son, Johann Martin Schader (born March 3, 1625 in Sachsenburg, † December 13, 1686 in Torgau) was the clerk at the same place. Before that, he was the administrator of Lichtenburg and the administrator of Annaburg.

Life

Schader attended the University of Leipzig from 1603 . From 1617 until his death he was administrator in Sachsenburg. On December 22nd, 1629 he bought the Elstertrebnitz manor with the associated villages of Elstertrebnitz and Eula from the city council of Pegau . Thereby he became heir and judge there. The Elstertrebnitz and Eula estates remained in the possession of the Schatter family until 1724.

After his death he was buried on March 17, 1633 next to the baptismal font in the church of Sachsenburg.
