Johannes Steffen

Johannes Steffen (born October 11, 1876 in Garz / Rügen ; † September 13, 1965 ) was a German teacher and sports official.

Steffen studied philology and theology. He later worked as a professor and sports teacher in Lübeck . He belonged to the Lübeck gymnastics club .

From February 14, 1920 to February 5, 1921 he was chairman of the German Sports Authority for Athletics, the predecessor organization of the German Athletics Association . From 1919 to 1920 and from 1921 to 1924 he was deputy chairman, from 1926 to 1933 youth warden.

From November 1934 to 1937, Steffen headed the Wilhelmshöhe Driving School in Ettlingen.
