Johannes von Belser

Johannes Belser , from 1906 von Belser , (born October 30, 1850 in Villingendorf ; † October 20, 1916 ibid) was a German Catholic theologian .

Life

Johannes Belser was born on October 30, 1850 in Villingendorf , Württemberg . His father was a raftsman and timber dealer . Belser studied at the University of Tübingen and at the Wilhelmsstift and in 1880 became a teacher at a grammar school in Ellwangen . He was a member of the theological society Herzynia , Tübingen. From 1889 he was professor of exegesis at the University of Tübingen. He died in his homeland on October 20, 1916.

In 1906 Johannes von Belser was awarded the Cross of Honor of the Order of the Württemberg Crown , which was associated with the personal title of nobility.
