The Lauterbacher Bone is a 683 m high elevation about one kilometer north of the Marienberg district Lauterbach in the Ore Mountains . Station No. 86 of the Royal Saxon Triangulation is on the summit . It is a pillar with which the state survey of Saxony was carried out around 1870. Today it would be called a trigonometric point (TP) .

In addition to the Dreibrüderhöhe, the ridge forms the watershed between the Zschopau and Flöha rivers on the edges of the Marienberg plateau.

Despite its medium height, it offers a panoramic view. In the northeast you can see the Waltersdorfer Höhe. To the east you can see the mountain town of Sayda and the Schwartenberg . To the south the Annahöhe, the Steinhübel , the Hirtstein and the Dreibrüderhöhe can be seen. In the southwest is the Pöhlberg, on the horizon Fichtelberg and Keilberg can be seen.
