history
Originally the Johanneskirchener Moos was a moor area . In the 1920s, large areas of the moor were drained and used for agricultural purposes.
From 1920 small houses were built in the moss; The street name Im Moosgrund has existed since 1930 . Since 1937/38 and after 1945, the Am Hierlbach settlement, consisting of 34 houses, was built without a permit, but initially tacitly . The development, also apostrophized as a moonlight settlement, was to be demolished according to a resolution of the city council in 1967; the settlement was subsequently legalized in 2015 after a change in the land-use planning had been initiated in 2000.
