Björn Sänger (born April 10, 1975 in Kassel ) is a German politician ( FDP ). From 2009 to 2013 he was a member of the German Bundestag .

Career

After graduation in 1994 at the Albert Schweitzer School graduated in Kassel singer studying economics at the University of Kassel , which he in 1998 with a thesis on "Optimization of business start-ups" as a graduate economist graduated. Political party

Björn Sänger has been a member of the FDP since 1991 and was a member of her youth organization Junge Liberale until she reached the age limit in 2010 . From 1992 to 2000 he was district chairman of the Young Liberals North Hesse, and until 2007 a member of the Hessian state board. From 2006 to May 2018 he was district chairman of the FDP in the Kassel district.

MP

Since the Hessian local elections in 2006, he was a member of the Ahnatal municipal council and deputy chairman of the parliamentary group of the Liberal Voting Community (LWG). On January 7, 2010, he was elected to the Main and Finance Committee. After the 2011 local elections , he resigned from the local council as requested. Since February 2014 he has been a member of the district council of the Kassel district and chairman of the FDP parliamentary group, and since September 2016 he has also been a member of the administrative board of Kasseler Sparkasse .

In the elections to the 17th German Bundestag , Sänger entered the state list of the FDP Hesse and represented the Waldeck constituency there . He was a full member of the finance committee , a deputy member of the committees for food, agriculture and consumer protection and transport, construction and urban development, and a deputy member of the administrative board of the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority ( BaFin ). Björn Sänger also belonged to the local politics group and the energy group of the FDP parliamentary group and was also deputy chairman of the craft working group. From March 2012, Singer was the deputy chairman of the German-Russian parliamentary group .
