Heinrich Leonhard Kolb

Heinrich Leonhard Kolb (born January 8, 1956 in Babenhausen ) is a German politician ( FDP ). From 1992 to 1998 he was Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Minister of Economics and from 2009 to 2013 Deputy Chairman of the FDP Bundestag parliamentary group .

Life and work

After graduating from the Bachgaugymnasium in Babenhausen, Kolb completed a degree in industrial engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt , which he completed with a degree in industrial engineering. In 1988 he received his doctorate with Hans Knoblich as Dr. rer. pole. at the University of Göttingen with the thesis "Marketing for Supplier Companies" .

Kolb is a partner and managing director of Kolb Holding GmbH in Babenhausen, a medium-sized company in the metal industry . The operative business is spun off into the subsidiaries Kolb Zulieferung GmbH and Kolb Metallverarbeitung GmbH.

Heinrich Leonhard Kolb has three children.

Political party

In 1983 Kolb joined the FDP. From 1990 to 2002 he was chairman of the FDP district association Darmstadt-Dieburg . From 2004 to 2014 he was chairman of the district association Südhessen-Starkenburg. From 2005 to 2014 he was also deputy state chairman of the FDP Hessen . Kolb is a member of the Schaumburger Kreis , an association of the liberal-conservative economic wing in the FDP. Heinrich Leonhard Kolb always entered the Bundestag via the Hesse state list . Due to the failure of his party to pass the five percent hurdle in the 2013 federal election , he was no longer represented in the 18th Bundestag.
