John Cerminaro

John Cerminaro (born April 7, 1947 in Grimes County , Texas) is an American horn player .

During his long career, Cherminaro has been the solo horn player in numerous American orchestras , including the New York Philharmonic , the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Aspen Festival Orchestra . He has also played as a soloist in numerous orchestras, such as the Dallas Symphony , Milwaukee Symphony , and Houston Symphony as well as at many festivals in the USA, Europe and Asia.

Cherminaro has been principal horn in the Seattle Symphony Orchestra since 1995 .

Cerminaro has made numerous recordings, including the horn concertos by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra and Gerard Schwarz as conductor).

In addition to his work as a solo horn player, Cerminaro is also Professor of Horn at the Juilliard School , the California Institute of the Arts and Victoria College .
